　　Environmental problems are as big as not for individual country or individual people to address. In other word， we have reached the stage that environmental problems be solved for international view. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

　　In recent years， many nations have bee more aware of the environmental issues each nation faces， such as air and water pollution. The question is， are the environmental issues a national problem or an international problem? It is my belief that the environmental issues have grown to the point of being an international problem needing international cooperation to resolve.

　　Because of the differences in environmental policies， resources and technology， international cooperation could provide quicker results and have a greater impact on bringing resolution to environmental problems for nations of differing environmental policies and of lesser resources and technology. By pooling international resources and technology to address the environmental problems， the disadvantaged nations are provided the assistance needed. Otherwise their environmental conditions deteriorate ultimately affecting the resources and environment of the world as a whole.

　　One of the difficulities to an international resolution to environmental issues is the difference in individual nations view and policies toward environmental protection. In order for international cooperation to occur and succeed， the nations of the world must submit themselved to international standards and supervision by an international mission elected by the participating nations of the world. All members must agree to abide by the standards established.

　　The environmental issues facing each country are not unrelated to the well being of the rest of the world. The impact is long term and international in scope. Without international cooperation and agreement to address such environmental issues as glacial melting at the South Pole， depletion of the ozone layer， water pollution， air polution， etc.， the environmental conditions of the world will deteriorate to the detriment of every nation， not just those that ignore or lack the resources and technology to resolve their individual environmental problems.

　　As part of the same planet， it is the responsibility of each individual and nation to protect the global environment. Only international cooperation will provide the timely solutions and the effectiveness needed to stop the deteriorating global environment.

　　This August I went to a two-week long English camp which was held by English Beacon in Yantai city, Shandong Province. There were over a hundred middle school students from all over the country and thirty experts in English teaching participating in this exciting camp. While we were there, it was required that we speak only English to our teachers and with each other. There were many activities which were funny and helped us to strengthen our oral English skills, such as, the Second Annual National Debate for Middle School Students, the Third National English Speech Competition for Middle School Students and English parties. We also visited many places of interest. Learning English was exciting and the teachers were very friendly and helpful. This camp was a real life-changing experience that I will never forget.

　　今年八月，我參加了由《英語(yǔ)輔導(dǎo)報(bào)》在山東煙臺(tái)舉辦的為期兩周的`英語(yǔ)夏令營(yíng)活動(dòng)。來(lái)自全國(guó)各地的一百多名中學(xué)生和三十名英語(yǔ)教育專家參加了此次活動(dòng)，在那兒我們只能用英語(yǔ)交流。此次夏令營(yíng)舉辦了許多有趣且提高口語(yǔ)能力的活動(dòng)，比如第二后全國(guó)中學(xué)生辯論賽，第三后全國(guó)中學(xué)生英語(yǔ)演講賽和英語(yǔ)晚會(huì)。我們還參觀了許多名勝。學(xué)英語(yǔ)很有趣，老師對(duì)我們也很和藹，給了我們?cè)S多幫助。這次夏令營(yíng)真實(shí)的生活體驗(yàn)令我永遠(yuǎn)難忘。

　　Water is a kind of liquid. It has no taste or smell. It is transparent, too. Water is useful and is important to us. Why? For example, we use water to water the plants. We use water to wash our face or to have a bath. We drink water or we will die…Water is also very important for China. There are 2.8 hundred millions of steres of water in China, but everyone can only use 2300 steres. It is only twenty–five per sent in the world.

　　Not too long ago, there was a man called Jacques Cousteau. He loved the beautiful colors, and the beautiful fish in the sea. However, when he returned some years later, the colorful coral reefs were dead and grey because the factory near the sea poured waste water into the sea. Jacques Cousteau decided to tell people how important it was to save the environment under the sea. He started the“ Cousteau Society ” to help protect life in the sea. Now there are over 30000 members all over the world. Since water covers most of the earth, Cousteau knew that we should keep the sea clean. We should not litter the sea, and should clean up the dirty parts. As water is very important to our environment, he encouraged everyone to take part in protecting our lakes, rivers, sea and ocean.

　　There are still a few people who are not protecting the water now in the world. For example, some factories pour waste things into the rivers, lakes or into the sea near by. The water there has become very dirty and we can’t use them at all. Although there are seventy–five per sent of water in the world, we can only use fresh water, that there is only a little. So we should use little water when we need to use it. For example, I do not use too much water when I am washing my face or having a bath… It is important for us to keep the water clean. You may ask yourself, have I ever poured or thrown dirty things into the water? If your answer is “No”, that means you have already helped to protect the environment. It is our duty to protect the environment. You may ask yourself again, have I ever helped to clean up the water? If your answer is “Yes”, that means that you have already done something useful to improve the water. If we use up all the water, it is difficult for us to get it from anywhere, including the universe. It is terrible to think that people are too thirsty to live! I believe, that if everyone helps to protect the water, the water must be protected. You do not want to “kill” your son or your grandson, do you? So now let us to protect the water! Please don’t let the last drop of water on the earth is we human’s tear!
