1. Hot chocolate costs about $3.50. 熱巧克力飲料要花3.50美元。
cost表示"花費(fèi)"時(shí)只能用物或事作主語,而不可用人作主語,常用于sth. costs sb. some money或sth. costs some money結(jié)構(gòu)中。如:
The dictionary costs 30 yuan. 這本詞典值三十元錢。
This sweater costs her 20 dollars. 這件毛衣花了她二十美元。
2. Can you tell me the way to the cinema? 請(qǐng)你告訴我去電影院的路,好嗎?
常用的問路方法有以下幾種:
(1) Can you tell / show me the way to the church? 你能告訴我去教堂的路嗎?
(2) Which is the way to North Street Hospital? 請(qǐng)問去北街醫(yī)院怎么走?
(3) Where's the ladies' room? 女洗手間在哪?
(4) How can I get to the café? 請(qǐng)問去咖啡廳怎么走?
(5) Is there a video store near here? 附近有影碟店嗎?
3. Go down this street. Turn right at the second crossing. 沿著這條街往下走。在第二個(gè)十字路口向右拐。
常用的指路方法有以下幾種:
(1) Go / Walk along / down this road and ... 沿著這條路走......
(2) Turn left at the second crossing. 在第二個(gè)十字路口處往左拐。
(3) Go across the bridge. 穿過這座橋。
(4) Take the second turning on the left. 在第二個(gè)轉(zhuǎn)彎處左拐。
